I enjoy shopping here for nostalgic reasons, I used to come here with my family as a little girl, we drove an hour to get here and my mom would come at the break of dawn for their sale days, those are fun memories, today some things are a little over priced and it's still a little dusty in here for me so asthmatics be advised, I usually cough and sneeze a bit but it's still fun to see all the odds and ends here, my favorite thing to do is check all the random knickknacks, it's like a treasure hunt and sometimes you find something really great, just the other day I bought some VHS movies and I was ecstatic to see some cassette tapes that were brand-new and still have their plastic casing on, I like to live like it still the 90s so of course I bought the cassettes! The really old things there are always such a treat to see! My only comment is that it would be great if they could clean and dust a little better

Most of the employees are friendly, the store is fairly clean and organized, if only they just had a few more bargains.

I am a regular customer and a regular donor to the Mt Vernon's Value Village since 2011.

Once upon a time Value Village was great for their awesome 5$/bag sales. Now it's barely worth it to visit. Occasionally you will find a great item or two, but the prices really fluctuate, mostly toward the higher end. I still go there when I receive an email about a 50% off all clothing sale, because that's the only time you get actual thrift store prices.

Edit (07/17): Someone must've seen my review, because the prices got much better! I will go to Value Village over Goodwill any day of the week.

I was shopping around 7 pm today 9/11/16, when someone tried to steal my glasses. I caught him on time. He gave me my glasses back, but he kept insulting me. So I went to the manager, her name is Robyn. I told her what happened, and a witness also came and he stated that he saw when the guy stole my sunglasses. The manager's response was, she's going to call the Cops and get both of us arrested. I told her, yes call the cops, but she didn't. Get me arrested for what? he stole from me. When the thief heard that, he took off. I can't believe she's a manager. I am the victim, but she still wanted BOTH of us to be arrested. Unbelievable. After I finished shopping, couple of employees told me that they know that thief. Every time when he comes in, they watch him. Obviously, Robyn knows him as well, but she didn't care. Worst manager ever! She's unprofessional, disrespectful to customers, rude, ignorant and very trashy. I don't know how she got hired as a manager, because she's incompetent and she knows nothing about management. Have some respect to your customers Piece of Trash!

My daughter had her best shopping experience this evening. We closed down the store. She got so many cute dresses and shirts shoes and shorts. She is still trying her outfits on now that we are home . Very nice employees.

Pretty expensive. And they are corporate (not a charity). Big store but I never seem to find anything to buy. It used to be better.
